Free Developmental Screenings for Young Children in Champaign County

As parents and caregivers, we all want to support our children as they grow, learn, and reach their full potential. The first five years of life are a critical time for development, and understanding how your child is progressing can make a meaningful difference.

That’s why United Way of Champaign County, Birth to Five Illinois, the Champaign County Home Visiting Consortium, and local school districts are partnering to offer FREE developmental screenings for children from birth to age five across Champaign County.

These screenings provide valuable insight into your child’s development in areas such as communication, social skills, motor skills, and more. Screenings are designed to support families, offer reassurance, and help connect you to helpful resources if needed.

Why Developmental Screenings Matter

Developmental screenings help identify strengths and areas where a child may benefit from extra support. Early awareness and connection to resources can play an important role in a child’s success later in school and life. Even when there are no concerns, screenings can provide peace of mind and helpful guidance for families.

If you have a child from birth to age five, take advantage of this free opportunity to learn more about your child’s development and get connected to local support.
